Shifts: Monday 29th June - Sunday 12th July 2026
Variety of shifts available:
- Earlies: 9am - 1.30pm
- Lates: 3.30pm - Midnight
Flexibility will be needed for start and finish times.
Job Purpose: As a Crowd Control Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of passengers and event attendees within the railway station. You will support the Event Supervisor in managing crowd flow, maintaining public safety, and delivering excellent customer service during high-traffic periods, special events, or service disruptions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage crowd movement in designated areas of the station.
- Provide clear and courteous directions to passengers and event attendees.
- Assist with queue management and platform access control.
- Respond promptly to incidents, escalating to the Event Supervisor or station security as needed.
- Support the implementation of emergency procedures and evacuation plans.
- Communicate effectively with station staff, transport police, and event personnel.
- Use radios or other communication tools to report updates and incidents.
- Maintain awareness of station layouts, train schedules, and event timings.
- Ensure signage and barriers are correctly positioned and maintained.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service, especially to vulnerable passengers.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Team player with a proactive attitude.
- Flexible with working hours, including weekends and holidays.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in crowd control, events, or transport environments.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- First Aid or conflict resolution training.
Additional Information: Uniform and training will be provided. This role will involve working outdoors in varying weather conditions. A background check may be required.
