We are currently recruiting for an experienced Patient Booking Clerk on behalf of our client based in Basildon. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and customer-focused individual with previous medical administration experience to join a busy healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Booking, rescheduling and cancelling patient appointments
- Managing patient referrals and ensuring accurate data entry
- Handling incoming telephone calls and email enquiries professionally
- Maintaining accurate patient records in line with GDPR and confidentiality requirements
- Liaising with clinical teams, patients and external healthcare providers
- Supporting the administration team with general office duties as required
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a medical, healthcare, GP practice, hospital setting
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Confident using Microsoft Office and patient management systems
- Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment
- A current and valid DBS Certificate is essential
