About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and driven Depot/ Warehouse manager to lead a busy and successful operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service, driving business performance, and developing high-performing teams. Reporting to the Operations and Regional Manager, you will take full responsibility for branch operations, customer relationships, team development, and commercial growth while ensuring the highest standards of health & safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day running of the Warehouse/ Depot.
- Drive operational performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
- Build strong customer relationships and identify opportunities for business growth.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety standards.
- Monitor stock, resources, budgets, and branch performance.
- Develop and support the Branch Supervisor to confidently manage the branch in your absence.
- Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and safety-focused workplace culture.
- Review performance against KPIs and implement improvements where needed.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a Warehouse, Operations Manager, Depot Manager, or similar leadership role.
- Strong commercial awareness and a proven ability to improve performance and profitability.
- Experience in customer relationship management and business development.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
- Ability to analyse KPIs and make informed business decisions.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- A proactive, customer-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
