Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Location: Mobile role covering various sites across the UK

Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 (£17.79 - £19.23 per hour)

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (40 hours per week)

Reports To: Electrical Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Duties: Carry out electrical installations within commercial and domestic buildings.
  • General Duties: Perform planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, and servicing.
  • General Duties: Complete 1‑phase and 3‑phase power installations.
  • General Duties: Conduct EICR electrical testing and produce accurate reports.
  • General Duties: Carry out LED lighting upgrades and energy‑saving improvements.
  • Maintenance & Fault‑Finding: Attend service and breakdown call-outs; diagnose and repair faults efficiently.
  • Maintenance & Fault‑Finding: Respond to daily reactive maintenance requests as instructed.
  • Maintenance & Fault‑Finding: Identify when additional work is required if a job differs from the original order, and communicate appropriately.
  • Maintenance & Fault‑Finding: Inform customers when a repair cannot be completed on the first visit and arrange a suitable return date.
  • Operational Responsibilities: Support and guide helpers during installations when required.
  • Operational Responsibilities: Liaise with management and clients to ensure works are completed to a high standard.
  • Operational Responsibilities: Ensure all works are compliant with current regulations, safe working practices, and site rules.
  • Operational Responsibilities: Follow a cost‑effective approach when sourcing materials.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' industry experience in electrical installation work.
  • Experience: Experience in both commercial and domestic environments.
  • Experience: Strong understanding of BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).
  • Experience: Excellent knowledge of electrical systems, components, and services.
  • Experience: Awareness of health and safety procedures and safe working practices.
  • Skills & Attributes: Attention to detail and a strong motivation to succeed.
  • Skills & Attributes: Flexible approach - this is a mobile role covering the West & East Midlands and wider UK when necessary.
