Position: Low Voltage installation/panel wiring trainer

Location: Eakring

Job Purpose

Working within our Technical Training team, you will deliver interactive technical training courses. You will deliver theory and practical sessions aimed at introducing the learners to basic engineering, electrical installations and panel wiring. The training will be primarily delivered at Eakring Training Centre however the role will include occasional training at operational sites throughout the UK.

Topics covered in the training will be:

Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance Principles – Theory
Electrical Drawings and Schematics
Wiring Skills
Panel wiring
Electrical safety
Use of electrical test equipment/meters
Basic Hand Skills and hand tools
Fault location / Diagnostic Assessment
Practical Exercise Assessment
National Grid Person Authorisation training (upskilling training will be provided)Key Accountabilities

Deliver quality training in classroom and workshop environments
Using experience to help in the design and development of training
Ensure training products meet relevant safety and technical requirements
Review lesson plans and presentations to ensure courses are current and relevant
Ensure training equipment is maintained, calibrated, and tested as necessaryAbout you

An in-depth knowledge of electrical/wiring and skills required for practical application
A hands-on & engaging approach to training so that learners \’learn by doing\’
Time served apprenticeship in engineering environment with upto date certifications to verifiy this.
Basic Health & Safety knowledge/qualification
Wiring qualifications and knowledge of applicable regulations
Management & Procurement of Training Assets
IT literate and Microsoft word, and PowerPoint conversant
Teaching and assessing qualification (desirable, but training can be provided)
Knowledge of Transmission and Distribution safety rules
Learner- Safeguarding Please note:
