Why This Role Matters

You'll play a key role in developing and delivering impactful water and wastewater projects from early concept stages through to completion. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you'll provide specialist technical input, manage design deliverables, and help solve complex engineering challenges. You'll also have opportunities to mentor junior team members, contribute to innovation, and support continuous improvement across the engineering function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality technical input for water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Assist in coordinating and delivering design packages to agreed timescales.
  • Prepare, review, and verify datasheets, calculations, drawings, and technical reports.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and resolve complex technical design issues.
  • Support project planning processes, including estimating activity durations.
  • Ensure designs comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and customer expectations.
  • Champion safety, sustainability, and compliance within all engineering deliverables.
  • Travel to various offices and operational sites across the region as required.

About You

  • Degree (MEng/BEng or equivalent) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
  • Experience in water or wastewater design, asset management, or related engineering fields.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office and relevant engineering software tools.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to work independently while contributing effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
  • Professional membership (IET or similar) or active progression towards chartership is desirable.
