Hours: Full time hours Monday - Friday. Start and Finish times varied.
Due to location of the companies, car drivers with access to your own vehicle will only be considered for this role.
About the Role
We are currently recruiting Container Unloaders / Handballers for clients based in the Halstead and Earls Colne area. This is a physically demanding role involving the unloading of containers, movement of stock, and general warehouse duties. Due to the location of some client sites and limited public transport links, applicants must either have their own transport and a full UK driving licence or be able to reliably commute to the local area.
Key Responsibilities
- Unloading shipping containers safely and efficiently
- Lifting up to 25kg
- Moving and stacking products within the warehouse
- Palletising goods and preparing stock for storage or dispatch
- Carrying out quality checks and reporting any damaged goods
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Assisting with general warehouse duties as required
Requirements
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting and manual handling
- Reliable, hardworking, and punctual attitude
- Good level of physical fitness
- Previous warehouse or container unloading experience is beneficial but not essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Own vehicle and driving licence preferred, or local to the Halstead/Earls Colne area with reliable transport
