Employment Lawyer (Locum - Tribunal Litigation Focus) - Hybrid - 1 day per week in office. £50-£60 per hour (Umbrella) - 12-week contract | Immediate start.

Ready to hit the ground running? We're looking for a confident, experienced Employment Lawyer to step into a fast-paced, high-impact role supporting our Legal Services team. This is a hands-on litigation role - you'll be managing tribunal cases from day one, attending hearings, and providing clear, practical advice across the organisation. If you enjoy autonomy, complex caseloads, and being trusted to deliver - this role is for you.

What you'll be doing:
  • Running a busy employment tribunal caseload from start to finish
  • Representing the organisation at tribunal hearings (mainly short hearings)
  • Providing straightforward, pragmatic advice to managers, schools, and academies
  • Supporting on policy, drafting and compliance work (including Employment Rights developments)
  • Handling sensitive and complex matters with confidence and professionalism
What we're looking for:
  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive (England & Wales)
  • Strong experience in employment tribunal litigation
  • Confident advocate (or willing to undertake advocacy)
  • Able to work independently and prioritise effectively
  • Ideally experienced working with local authorities, schools, or public bodies
  • Available to start immediately or at short notice
