Adecco are recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority for an experienced EHC Coordinator to join their Children's Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled caseworker with strong SEND experience to support children and young people through high-quality Education, Health and Care (EHC) planning and coordination.
Contract Details:
- Location: Perceval House, Ealing
- Hybrid - once a week in the office / flexible
- Temporary assignment for 3 months
- Working full time, 35 hours per week Monday - Friday
- £300 per day umbrella
About the Role:
As an EHC Coordinator, you will play a key role in coordinating education, health and care services for children and young people with SEND. You will act as the main point of contact for families and professionals, ensuring effective assessment, planning and review processes are delivered in line with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children and young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Coordinate assessments and annual reviews in line with statutory timescales
- Act as the main contact for families, schools and professionals
- Chair meetings and collaborate with multi-agency stakeholders
- Produce high-quality, person-centred EHC Plans
- Ensure provision outlined in EHCPs is implemented and monitored effectively
- Provide advice and guidance on SEND-related matters
- Support transitions between educational settings
- Contribute to service improvement and quality assurance processes
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a caseworker within a Local Authority (essential)
- Strong experience of EHC assessments and annual reviews
- Knowledge of SEND legislation and Children and Families Act 2014
- Ability to manage complex caseloads and work to deadlines
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience of using Synergy (desirable)
- Ability to work collaboratively across education, health and social care services
