About the Role
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Logistics & FLT Warehouse Operative to join a busy and fast-paced operation in Dundee. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take on a varied role that combines hands-on warehouse duties with logistics coordination and administration. With an increased focus on UK logistics handling, this position plays a key role in ensuring goods are processed, managed and dispatched efficiently. You will be responsible not only for warehouse operations but also for supporting the coordination of transport, working closely with both customers and external carriers.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Counterbalance and Reach forklifts safely and efficiently
- Load, unload and move goods accurately within the warehouse
- Support UK logistics handling processes, ensuring the smooth flow of materials
- Process customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfilment
- Book transport with customers and external carriers, confirming delivery requirements
- Liaise with transport and haulage providers to coordinate collections and deliveries
- Complete and manage all transport administration, including documentation and system updates
- Maintain accurate stock and movement records using SAP or similar ERP systems
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance and Reach Truck licences (essential)
- Proven experience within a warehouse and logistics environment
- Strong background in order processing and transport coordination
- Knowledge of UK logistics handling and distribution processes
- Experience liaising with transport carriers and customers
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Physically capable of manual handling tasks
- Reliable, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Shift Pattern
This role operates on a rotating shift basis:
- 7:00am - 4:00pm
- 8:00am - 5:00pm
Additional shifts may be available depending on business requirements.
