Our client is on the lookout for a motivated Buyer / Procurement Operations Specialist to support their Procurement Category Managers in delivering exceptional sourcing and procurement activities for services in data centre builds. What You'll Do:
- Procurement Operations & RFQ Management: Support Procurement Category Managers (PCMs) in running end-to-end RFQ events from initiation to supplier award. Prepare, launch, and manage RFQs across assigned categories, ensuring timelines and governance requirements are met. Coordinate supplier communications throughout the tender process, including clarification questions and bid evaluations. Manage the full bid process from quotations through to onboarding. Maintain accurate sourcing documentation and ensure audit compliance.
- Supplier Support & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with PCMs to support supplier onboarding, engagement, and ongoing relationship management. Assist with supplier performance tracking and resolution of day-to-day supplier queries. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure procurement requirements are clearly understood and executed.
- Transactional & Post-Contract Support: Provide pre- and post-contract support across all categories, ensuring smooth procurement operations. Manage and resolve escalations related to Purchase Orders (POs) and invoice queries in a timely manner. Support contract implementation processes, ensuring alignment between sourcing outcomes and operational delivery.
- Process & Continuous Improvement: Ensure adherence to procurement policies, compliance frameworks, and best practice sourcing methodologies. Support reporting activities and tracking of sourcing activity, savings, and supplier performance.
What You Bring:
- Proven experience in a Buyer, Procurement Coordinator, or Procurement Operations role.
- Strong understanding of RFQ/sourcing processes and procurement lifecycle activities.
- Experience in high-volume, fast-paced procurement environments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with ease.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Good attention to detail with a focus on process compliance and governance.
- Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Coupa) is preferred.
