Are you an experienced CNC Machinist ready to elevate your career in a dynamic, large-scale manufacturing environment? Our client is on the lookout for a motivated and skilled CNC Machinist to join their expanding team in Gateshead.
The Role:
- As a CNC Machinist, you'll be at the heart of the machine shop, handling high-value components with precision and care.
- Operate CNC machines to the highest precision standards, interpreting detailed engineering drawings.
- Programme and machine a variety of materials efficiently and accurately.
- Conduct self-inspection using a range of measuring equipment and inspection methods.
- Record production data meticulously via the shop floor computer system.
- Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure smooth workflows.
- Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental policies, maintaining a safe working environment.
About You:
- We're seeking candidates with diverse CNC machining and large-machine backgrounds.
- Suitable CNC experience or equivalent engineering qualifications.
- A firm commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
Desired Technical Backgrounds (Flexible):
- Experience in large-scale CNC machining environments, including large vertical borers, heavy turning, or mill-turn machines.
- Familiarity with VCT 2000 or A-Force machines is advantageous.
- Exposure to Mazak Integrex machines is beneficial.
- Even if you haven't worked on the exact machines listed, if you have transferable skills from similar large or complex CNC machines, we encourage you to apply!
