Contract: Full-time with overtime available
Pay & Overtime: £13.39 per hour
- Overtime after 40 hours: £1 extra per hour
- Saturday: £16.27 per hour
- Sunday & Bank Holidays: £18.77 per hour
Overview of the Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Yard Operative to support a busy industrial site in Deeside. This is a hands-on role involving plant machinery operation, materials handling, and maintaining high standards of health, safety, and site housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading containers and curtain siders using a Forklift Truck (FLT)
- Rotating and sorting stock around site using a 360° machine
- Sorting materials and removing non-conforming items
- Carrying out daily checks on plant machinery and work areas
- Ensuring machinery and equipment are safe and in good working order
- Maintaining good site housekeeping, including yard cleaning
- Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Liaising with the weighbridge to understand daily inbound and outbound materials
- Supporting wider yard operations and completing any reasonable tasks as directed
What We're Looking For
- A current 360 Operator licence
- A valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence
- Previous experience using a 360 and FLT in a workplace environment
- Good awareness of health & safety procedures on an industrial site
- A flexible, team-focused attitude and willingness to muck in
