Role
:-To provide expert guidance on database creation, monitoring and maintenance ensuring database recoverability, integrity, security, availability and performance and to lead the identification, assessment and implementation of new and upgraded database software.
We are looking for a SQL Database Administrator with experience of managing and maintaining a large SQL database estate ensuring HA using Availability Groups and SQL clustering.
Tasks would include routine database maintenance such as backup\\recovery, index tuning, patching and database monitoring to ensure that data is accessible, secure, and protected from loss or corruption.
Working closely with both support teams and external suppliers to assist with application upgrades and performance tuning.
Experience using SSAS, SSIS, SSRS and PowerShell along with knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes would be desirable.
Knowledge and experience with migrating on-premise SQL Server into Azure would be also be advantageous
