Customer Assistant – Basingstoke, Winchester & Farnborough
Must be able to work a minimum of 3 shifts a week (24 hours or more)
Must be able to work Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays
Adecco UK are currently seeking committed and Safety conscious staff to work at (station) as a Customer Assistant.
Our Customer Assistants, will provide a First-class service to our customers whilst ensuring their safety at all times.
They will Pro-actively seek to help customers through clear communication to pass through the station whilst effectively managing the Automatic Gates.
You will often be the first person and the last person our customers meet on their journey, therefore your role as gate line assistant is vital in upholding the safety and service to all SWR customers. You may be required at times to undertake roles such as bus replacement, crown control and ticket checking. You will be at your nearest station however there will be times you will be required to travel at other stations, a duty pass will be provided to you to enable free travel whilst on duty.
This role requires working as early as 7am or as late as 11pm depending on the shift
Responsibilities
. Effectively operate the gates ensuring the safety of all who pass through them.
. Delivering excellent customer service by responding to customer enquiries as quickly and efficiently as possible.
. Report any incidents and undertake measures to ensure the safety of the station.
. Undertake ticket checks and pass any irregularities to Revenue Protection.
. Wear uniform and I.D badge when working on shift and travelling to and from that shift
Experience
We are looking for people who have a strong background in Customer Service. They need to be an effective communicator as this is a customer facing role and some of the situations you are dealing with
May be difficult ones therefore, excellent listening skills are required. Good written communication skills are required to aid you in producing reports. Training will be given in all aspects of the role.
