Job Title: Credit Controller (Temp to Perm)

Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking for a new opportunity? Our client, a well-established and reputable company based in Basildon, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join their finance team. This is a temporary-to-permanent position with an immediate start for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a portfolio of accounts and ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments
- Regularly liaising with customers to resolve any payment queries or disputes
- Processing and allocating payments to customer accounts
- Maintaining accurate records of communications and transactions
- Performing credit checks and assessing the creditworthiness of potential customers
- Reporting on aged debt and providing updates to senior management
- Supporting the finance team with month-end reporting and reconciliations
- Ensuring adherence to credit policies and procedures to minimise risk
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in credit control or accounts receivable roles
- Strong understanding of credit control processes and best practices
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and experience using finance software (SAGE, Xero, etc.) would be an advantage
- A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
