What You'll Be Doing:
- Programming & Setting: Operate and programme 5-axis CNC machining centres to create intricate components.
- Optimisation: Utilise Siemen controls to develop and enhance machining programmes for maximum efficiency.
- CAD/CAM Mastery: Leverage your skills in CAD/CAM, particularly Fusion 360, to work from 3D models, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
- Tool Selection: Choose the right tooling, fixtures, and cutting data to ensure optimal performance.
- Cycle Time Improvements: Prove out new jobs and actively drive enhancements in cycle times.
- Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve machining and process issues as they arise.
- Continuous Improvement: Support initiatives that enhance quality, safety, and overall shop floor standards.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: Strong background in 5-axis CNC milling, including programming and setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Siemen controls and experience in CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360 preferred).
