We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join a world-class manufacturing facility in Congleton. This is an exciting opportunity to work with advanced production equipment, automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0 technologies within a highly innovative manufacturing environment.
As part of the Maintenance team, you will play a key role in ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while contributing to continuous improvement and predictive maintenance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out reactive maintenance and fault-finding on electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures, including Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO)
- Update maintenance records using CMMS systems
- Support continuous improvement, TPM, and reliability initiatives
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams
What We're Looking For
- Experience within a manufacturing, production, or industrial maintenance environment
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- A logical and methodical approach to problem-solving
- Good IT skills and the ability to use maintenance management systems
- Understanding of Health & Safety procedures and risk assessments
- Ability to work effectively within a team
Desirable Experience
- HNC/HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Experience with PLCs, automation, or robotics
- Knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, or Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Interest in Industry 4.0 technologies, AI, and predictive maintenance
