The Role
As Warehouse Team Leader, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, ensuring stock moves efficiently, processes run smoothly, and the team remains motivated and productive. This is a varied role combining warehouse operations, team leadership and administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading, motivating, and supporting the warehouse team on a daily basis
- Conducting daily team huddles and communicating priorities effectively
- Ensuring orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety across the warehouse
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with stock control processes
- Supporting purchasing activities and liaising with suppliers
- Completing warehouse administration and maintaining accurate records
- Investigating stock discrepancies and helping implement solutions
- Assisting with goods-in and goods-out operations
- Working collaboratively with other departments to ensure excellent customer service
- Leading by example and promoting a positive team culture
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse
About You
We're looking for someone with the right attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for teamwork.
You Will Ideally Have:
- Previous warehouse experience
- Experience as a Team Leader, Supervisor, or a desire to move into a leadership position
- Confidence in leading and motivating a team
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Good attention to detail with stock and administrative tasks
- Experience with stock control, purchasing or supplier management would be advantageous
- A proactive and positive approach to work
- Basic IT skills and confidence using warehouse systems
- The ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment
