Location: Colchester

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour + Holiday, Pension and Adecco Benefits

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30-4:30pm - 30-minute unpaid lunch break. 42.5hrs per week

We are currently recruiting for an Assembly Assistant to join a busy warehouse team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and is looking for immediate employment.

The Role

As an Assembly Assistant, you will be responsible for assembling a variety of wooden furniture products, including cupboards, doors, and other furniture components. You may also be required to support warehouse operations when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembling small and large wooden furniture parts
  • Fitting components to cupboards, doors, and furniture units, i.e. hinges and door handles
  • Using basic hand tools safely and effectively
  • Checking finished products for quality and accuracy
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area
  • Following health and safety procedures at all times

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous assembly, manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Physically fit and comfortable handling furniture components
