We are recruiting Installation Operatives on a temporary to permanent basis to support ongoing nationwide installation projects. The role involves installing and maintaining street furniture such as bus shelters, advertising units, and telephone kiosks across the UK. This position includes regular working away, often staying in accommodation such as Premier Inn (twin room shared with a colleague). Upon successful completion of the temporary period, there is an opportunity to be taken on permanently with further training and progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of street furniture including bus shelters, advertising units, telephone kiosks, and related infrastructure
- Groundworks associated with installations
- Reinstatement works following installations
- Manual handling and use of tools and equipment
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Travelling nationwide to various job sites
- Working safely and in line with health & safety regulations
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to work away from home as required
- Comfortable sharing a twin room when working away
- Physical work and working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work as part of a team
- Must live within a reasonable commute of Clacton-on-Sea
Desirable
- Previous groundworks experience essential
- Reinstatement experience desirable
- NRSWA card (training can be provided if not held)
Training & Progression
- NRSWA training provided where required
- Opportunity to train for HGV licence upon becoming permanent
