Adecco is recruiting a temporary Engineer for a successful and award-winning employer based in Aspatria. We are seeking an experienced Engineer with a strong preference for electrical skills, though the role is multi-skilled. This is a full-time position, and our client is ideally looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.
Key responsibilities
- To provide advanced support in maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault-finding for a wide range of automation systems, pumps, compressors, pipework, actuators, conveyors, and other process equipment. This role ensures high standards of operational efficiency and safety are maintained across the site.
Duties
- Utilise a broad range of engineering skills, including civil, electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing disciplines.
- Perform both planned and reactive maintenance to meet KPI targets.
- Conduct condition monitoring, address any deviations, and escalate issues as needed.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment and process infrastructure.
- Diagnose, analyse, and repair PLC control systems.
- Retrieve and analyse maintenance history using the site's planned maintenance system.
- Promoting Good Practices and Effective Communication.
- Maintain and uphold department and factory (Safety, Health, and Environment) standards.
- Adhere to site GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards and ensure a clean working environment.
- Participate in shift handovers to ensure seamless knowledge transfer.
- Provide accurate feedback to engineering management on tasks and complete task reports with detailed commentary.
