CNC Setter/Operator (Turning) β Sunderland
Salary: Β£37,500-Β£38,500 | Hours: Full-time, 3-shift rotating pattern (Flexible) | Location: Sunderland
What You\βll Be Doing:
- Safely operate CNC machines in compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with production control, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Execute machining tasks to precise engineering drawings, maintaining quality at every stage.
- Edit and modify CNC programmes as needed to enhance production efficiency.
- Record work accurately using our shop floor computer system, aligning with production schedules.
- Conduct planned inspections using a variety of measuring equipment, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Mentor and support apprentices and trainees in their development.
- Uphold a proactive approach to Health & Safety, adhering to company policies.
Who We\βre Looking For:
- Solid engineering qualifications with solid CNC machining experience, especially in milling and turning.
- Familiarity with CNC mill/turn machinery and 5/7-axis machining is a plus!
- Strong communication skills and a positive, adaptable attitude.
- NVQ or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline, plus completed engineering apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.
