Our client is seeking a dedicated Domestic Supervisor to oversee essential services in a public service setting. This temporary position in Stoke offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in patient care and team dynamics. Location: Harplands Hospital Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: Ongoing Working Patttern: 37.5 hours per week – 4 week rota, earlys and lates including weekends. Hourly Rate: £12.80 What You\’ll Do: Lead and Motivate: Supervise and coordinate a team of ward hosts, cleaning assistants, and porters to ensure an efficient and high-quality service to patients. Training and Development: Provide on-the-job training and mentorship, including arranging buddies for new staff, to foster a culture of growth and capability. Quality Assurance: Monitor cleaning and portering services against established standards, ensuring all areas are resourced appropriately and daily schedules are met. Customer Focus: Develop a customer-focused team, addressing complaints promptly and sharing positive feedback with ward teams. Safety First: Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health and Safety regulations, maintaining documentation and reporting any incidents correctly. Performance Management: Conduct annual performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement training for staff to uphold service standards.What We\’re Looking For: Strong leadership and communication skills to develop good lines of communication within the team and with customers. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage operational issues as they arise. Experience in a supervisory role, particularly in a public service or healthcare environment is advantageous. A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service and safety.Key Responsibilities: Ensure staff report for duty on time and are presented professionally. Maintain appropriate stock levels and comply with sickness and absence policies. Conduct quality checks and rectify failings within agreed timescales.
