About Us: Our client, a leading organisation in financial services, is seeking a highly skilled Pricing & Valuations Data Workstream Project Lead to join their central Data Risk team. This role will support the Price Risk Initiative, aimed at enhancing market risk management controls and processes across their Markets business.
Role Overview: As the Pricing & Valuations Data Workstream Project Lead, you will be instrumental in executing deliverables across multiple workstreams while leveraging your subject matter expertise. Your primary focus will be on driving transformation within risk and control processes, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including Traders, Markets Risk, Control, Quants, Technology, and Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Data Risk programme Initiative lead(s) in executing strategic deliverables related to Data, Data Controls, and Architecture changes.
- Lead working groups and workshops to define project plans and manage timelines based on data and business requirements.
- Address data quality issues, ensuring robust controls in the defined target state solution.
- Collaborate with leadership and external experts to design a target-state control framework for Price Risk.
- Define a strategic execution plan for the target-state framework, focusing on business and data analysis.
- Track completion of implementation actions in accordance with change methodology.
- Identify challenges and collaborate with stakeholders to develop effective solutions.
- Engage with Control and Internal Audit to ensure compliance and validation of results.
- Present programme status updates to senior stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in Market Risk, Product Control, or Valuation, with a strong background in both First Line and Second Line functions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate insights and provide persuasive commentary to senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to drive change across a global organisation in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, lineage, and post-trade risk and valuation infrastructure.
- Proficient in Excel, with experience in Python and SQL viewed as a significant plus.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities and analytical skills.
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a Master's degree preferred.
