Role Overview:

This is more than just a finance role! We're looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit and impactful energy to support the senior team in making informed decisions. As a Finance Manager, you will:

  • Provide reliable financial reporting and control
  • Manage cashflow and forecasting
  • Oversee transactional activities
  • Improve financial processes and act as a trusted advisor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Control
  • Prepare monthly management accounts
  • Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks
  • Review costs and expenditure, identifying areas for control and efficiency
  • Prepare and complete year-end accounts
  • Cashflow and Forecasting
    • Prepare and maintain weekly cashflow forecasts
    • Monitor cash position and short-term liquidity
    • Highlight risks and variances to management
  • Transactional Oversight
    • Oversee payroll processing
    • Prepare and submit VAT returns
    • Ensure timely processing of core finance activities
  • General Finance Support
    • Improve basic financial processes and controls where required
    • Act as a trusted finance point of contact for the business
    • Provide ad hoc financial insight as needed

    Experience and Skills Required:

    • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or Financial Controller
    • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks
    • Experience in monthly management accounts and cashflow forecasts
    • Payroll and VAT expertise
    • Year-end accounts preparation experience
    • Strong attention to detail and a hands-on approach
    • Ability to work independently
