Role Overview:
This is more than just a finance role! We're looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit and impactful energy to support the senior team in making informed decisions. As a Finance Manager, you will:
- Provide reliable financial reporting and control
- Manage cashflow and forecasting
- Oversee transactional activities
- Improve financial processes and act as a trusted advisor
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting and Control
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks
- Review costs and expenditure, identifying areas for control and efficiency
- Prepare and complete year-end accounts
- Prepare and maintain weekly cashflow forecasts
- Monitor cash position and short-term liquidity
- Highlight risks and variances to management
- Oversee payroll processing
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Ensure timely processing of core finance activities
- Improve basic financial processes and controls where required
- Act as a trusted finance point of contact for the business
- Provide ad hoc financial insight as needed
Experience and Skills Required:
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or Financial Controller
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks
- Experience in monthly management accounts and cashflow forecasts
- Payroll and VAT expertise
- Year-end accounts preparation experience
- Strong attention to detail and a hands-on approach
- Ability to work independently
