The Opportunity: Our client is seeking an experienced Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) Manager to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting the organisation's Markets Operations, specifically within the ETD, OTC Clearing, and FX Prime Brokerage sectors. The selected candidate will focus on the tracking and resolution of cash exceptions for listed futures and will play a crucial role in ensuring operational excellence across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily reconciliation of ETD cash types, with particular attention to exchange fees and "pass-through" cash types.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies while collaborating with technology and other teams to address issues at the source.
- Communicate necessary adjustments to internal traders and client service representatives effectively.
- Contribute to balance sheet control, ensuring the accuracy of revenue and transaction expenses.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and take ownership of implementing changes.
- Lead project initiatives to ensure effective resource management and execution of deliverables.
- Prepare concise status updates for stakeholders, tailoring communication to suit various audiences.
- Ensure adherence to all control, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage exception reporting and escalate issues to Senior Management as appropriate.
- Participate in hiring, training, and ongoing development of team members, contributing to regional initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Futures (ETD) Clearing and/or Markets Operations.
- Expertise in reconciliations, trade matching, and brokerage fees related to ETD products.
- Proven track record of process improvement and operational excellence.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage effectively across all management levels and functional areas.
- Ability to thrive in a complex, matrixed environment while managing competing priorities.
- A curious mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and risk mitigation.
- Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
- Experience in assessing risk and developing remediation plans where necessary.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
