The Role
We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to join a busy operations team. This role is key to ensuring customer orders are fulfilled efficiently and on time, while balancing production capacity, materials, and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements
- Ensure on-time delivery of manufactured components
- Identify and resolve production flow constraints through sustainable solutions
- Develop and implement capacity and production plans
- Work collaboratively with Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, Sales and Finance teams
- Maintain and improve ERP system accuracy and resolve system-related issues
- Support supply and demand planning, including engineering changes
- Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies
- Produce and report on daily production metrics
- Facilitate daily production meetings
Skills and Experience
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving ability
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Solid understanding of production planning principles, including scheduling, capacity planning and shop floor control
- Experience with ERP systems (Infor Syteline desirable but not essential)
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
