About the Role:

As a Vendor Planner, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth delivery of non-sequenced parts from external suppliers. Your expertise will help align delivery schedules with the company's production build plan, ensuring that operations run like a well-oiled machine!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Delivery Schedules: Ensure external supplier schedules are accurate and support production plans.
  • Efficient Expediting: Coordinate timely deliveries of parts to meet production demands, ensuring the right parts are delivered at the right quality and time.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential supply constraints early and implement corrective actions to maintain continuity of supply.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, vendors, and transport providers to resolve supply chain challenges.
  • Performance Monitoring: Maintain key performance indicators and present supplier delivery performance metrics to management.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Proven track record of working with external suppliers on parts delivery.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with import/export processes and customs procedures, particularly post-Brexit.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Strong teamwork skills, whether collaborating internally or with external partners. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with MRP and scheduling tools.
