Cheltenham | £15.00-£16.23 per hour | 4 on / 4 off shift pattern | Temp to Perm
Are you passionate about quality, precision, and working at the heart of a fast-paced production environment? This is your opportunity to join a leading manufacturing company based near Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham, where your work will directly impact product quality and performance.
Due to the location, a valid driving licence and access to your own transport are essential.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Lab Technician to join a high-performing quality team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring products meet strict quality standards, working closely with production and wider operational teams.
Shift Pattern
Enjoy a structured work-life balance with a 4 shifts on / 4 days off rotation:
- 2 Day Shifts: 06:00 - 18:00
- 2 Night Shifts: 18:00 - 06:00
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out routine laboratory testing accurately and efficiently
- Identifying, managing, and escalating non-compliant materials in line with procedures
- Recording test results clearly, accurately, and in the correct systems
- Reviewing data and communicating any deviations to production teams
- Testing incoming raw materials and logging results
- Supporting quality investigations and managing quality concerns
- Preparing and processing Certificates of Analysis for outgoing shipments
- Ensuring full compliance with testing methods and quality standards
- Assisting with quality audits across operational areas
- Keeping the laboratory clean and hygienic
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in quality control, laboratory testing, or a similar role
- A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to work
- Confident IT skills for accurate data recording
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and testing techniques
- Valid UK driving licence and own transport
