Join a critical operational team. We are recruiting on behalf of a leading defence contractor for a Fuels Technician to join a well-established team at RAF Fairford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a practical or mechanical background to move into a specialist role supporting aviation and defence operations.
Reporting to the Fuels Supervisor, you will work in a hands-on environment where safety, accuracy, and reliability are essential. No previous fuels experience is required, and full training will be provided. Candidates from mechanical or hands-on backgrounds such as mechanics, mechanical engineers, or plumbers are encouraged to apply.
Day to day, you will be working with fuel systems, receiving and transferring fuel, operating equipment, and carrying out checks and testing to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Key responsibilities:- You will be responsible for supporting day to day fuel operations across ground fuels, aviation fuels, and cryogenic systems.
- Your duties will include supporting the receipt, storage and distribution of fuel through pipelines and tanker vehicles.
- Operating fuel systems.
