Our Customer Service Gateline Assistants will provide a First-class service to our passengers whilst always ensuring their safety.

Contract: ASAP - on-going temp role.

Location: Must be local to Cheltenham/Gloucester train stations.

Pay: £13.45, your pay will increase to £15.26ph after you have submitted 12 time sheets.

Hours: Part time. Various shifts available; however, we are ideally looking for someone to pick up the 06:00am-13:00pm shift. This is based on a 0 hour contract; you will work AdHoc shifts which we get through weekly and you pick up what you can work. We do have other Central stations from which you could also pick up shifts, and we can provide you with a train travel pass to enable you to travel across the network. Must be available to arrive at Gloucester and Cheltenham train station for 06:00am.

They will pro-actively seek to help customers through clear communication to pass through the station and Gateline whilst effectively ensuring passengers have valid tickets to pass through.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively operate the gates ensuring the safety of all who pass through them.
  • Report any incidents and undertake measures to ensure the safety of the station.
  • Support customers needing assistance.
  • Ensure the safety of the station environment.
  • Provide a friendly and personable service.
  • Undertake ticket checks and pass any irregularities to Revenue Protection.

Basic Requirements:

  • Good written and verbal English.
  • Physical role!
  • Customer service experience.
  • Clear DBS checks.
  • Adhere to Adecco Rail Drug and Alcohol policy.
  • Well-presented and willing to adhere to Adecco Rail uniform standards.
