About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Driver/Storeman to join our successful and growing client based in Chelmsford. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual looking to join a busy warehouse team, with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.
The successful candidate will be responsible for customer deliveries across Essex and supporting the warehouse operation, ensuring orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing deliveries to customers in a professional manner.
- Local to Essex deliveries.
- Ensuring goods are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Supporting the goods in/goods out process.
- Loading and unloading goods safely.
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure orders are dispatched on time.
- Picking customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Packing orders ready for dispatch.
- Following order sheets and picking instructions correctly.
- Moving stock throughout the warehouse by hand.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment.
- Adhering to all company health and safety procedures.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience working within a warehouse, stores, or goods in/out environment.
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
- Ability to carry out manual handling duties and heavy lifting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Driver Requirements
- A valid UK Driving Licence is essential.
