Location: Dover

Contract Type: Temporary OR Temporary to Permanent for the right candidate

Hourly Rate: £14 per hour

Hours: 3 on 3 off working shift pattern OR flexible days to suit you, however, you must be able to work the following hours:

  • Monday to Saturday:
  • AM - 05:30 - 16:45
  • PM - 11:45 - 23:00
  • Sunday:
    • AM - 07:30 - 16:45
    • PM - 11:45 - 22:00

    Are you an experienced Chef looking for an exciting temporary opportunity in Dover? Our client, a high-end newly refurbished café, is seeking a talented Chef to join their dynamic team. With a fully licenced bar, TV showing sports and news, gaming machines and a takeaway service, this café is a bustling hub open to the public.

    As a Chef, you will be responsible for running the kitchen during your shift, ensuring food is prepared to order while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and cleanliness. Collaborating with the Kitchen Manager, you will contribute to the development and profitability of the café.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Following recipes and instructions to prepare dishes to the restaurant's standards
    • Thriving under pressure in a fast-paced, open kitchen environment
    • Effectively managing the shift team for maximum productivity and service levels
    • Receiving deliveries and handling stock rotation efficiently
    • Maintaining the highest standards of presentation and quality
