Finance Assistant Location: Cardiff (Fully Site-Based) Hours: Monday to Friday Salary: £27,000 per annum Are you looking to progress your career within finance? We are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a well-established business based in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous accounts or finance experience to become part of a supportive team where you will gain exposure to a broad range of finance duties, including purchase ledger, reconciliations, invoicing, and month-end processes. Key Responsibilities Processing high volumes of purchase ledger invoices accurately and efficiently Matching, checking and coding invoices Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries Assisting with weekly and monthly payment runs Supporting sales ledger activities, including invoicing and account maintenance Performing bank and supplier account reconciliations Maintaining accurate financial records and updating finance systems Assisting with month-end processes and financial reporting Liaising with suppliers and internal departments to resolve account queries Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc finance administration duties About You Previous experience within a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger Clerk, Accounts Payable, or similar finance role Good understanding of purchase ledger, reconciliations and invoice processing Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Experience using finance or ERP systems would be advantageous Strong organisational and time management skills Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach AAT qualification or studies would be advantageous but not essential What's in it for You?
