Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities for a portfolio of indirect products and services, ensuring alignment with budget holders for optimal cost and time efficiency.
- Lead tender processes to select suppliers based on capability, cost, quality, and sustainability, while leveraging synergies across the organisation.
- Engage with stakeholders early in the process to foster cost discipline and strategic planning.
- Achieve key performance metrics, including budget reductions and adherence to procurement processes.
- Represent the Procurement department in cross-functional meetings, advocating for compliance and recommending improvements for enhanced efficiency.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in purchasing, with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation abilities.
- A solid understanding of purchasing dynamics.
- Industry experience in Automotive, Aerospace, Construction, Defence, Engineering, or Manufacturing is advantageous.
