Adecco property services specialist division north is delighted to be partnering with an amazing housing provider based in the NW England to recruit for an experienced Building Surveyor to join the Assets team.
Purpose
The building surveyor will ensure that surveys, defects and follow up works are managed appropriately across a range of services which include, repairs, empty homes, planned maintenance, fire damage, adaptations, and alterations.
Duties
* Ensure that inspections, surveys, and repairs comply with OM landlord obligations to mitigate against claims for disrepairs, personal injury and fitness for habitation.
* Carry out day to day and property surveys to identify defects, raising works as necessary within the organistion\βs systems.
* Carry out surveys and prepare specifications, schedules and drawings for building works related to repairs, HHSRS, fire damage, adaptations, alteration, planned repairs, major repairs, disrepair (Healthy Homes) and empty home reinstatement works to be carried out by intern
* Undertake the role of contract administrator for the delivery of company\βs projects with knowledge/understanding of relevant forms of building contract.
* Carry out regular H&S audits and adhere to regulations and policies.
* Undertake and complete acquisition surveys to mitigate risk on property purchases.
* Work with commercial team to establish scheme cost plans.
* Advise teams when needed and have great communication skills to have great stakeholders\β engagement.
Candidate requirements
* Appropriate academic qualification/professional qualification to HNC level or above &
* Relevant experience in building surveying with the drive & passion to obtain relevant qualifications.
* Excellent verbal and written ability, strong presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Up to date knowledge of appropriate legislation
* Highly numerate and IT literate
* Able to assess risk associated with asset decisions

* Β£45, annual
* 27 days\β holiday (plus UK bank holidays)
