As a Senior Compliance Manager, you will be committed to the delivery of a professional and effective customer service, collaboratively working with colleagues across the organisation, and contributing to the successful delivery of the corporate plan. You will pro-actively contribute to the residents and the wider community, focused on providing excellent homes and services to residents, and always positively promote the organisation, its aspirations and values.

You will:

  • Deliver a professional and compliant property management service so that our residents feel safe and are safe in their homes.
  • Ensure that the organisation's exposure to risk from specific hazards is minimised and managed in accordance with legislative requirements and best practice.
  • Lead compliance of Gas and Smoke Carbon Monoxide Alarm's safety and oversee additional risk areas to ensure statutory and landlord obligations are achieved through robust programme planning and project management.
  • Develop and implement strategic and operational plans aligned to the corporate plan to drive continuous improvement within the Safety and Compliance Team.
  • Deputise for and support the Head of Health, Safety and Compliance.
  • Lead the procurement plan for the service and delegate as appropriate to ensure the appointment of competent contractors in line with Section 20 process and Building Safety requirements.
  • Lead and oversee the robust management of contractors for various risk areas to achieve compliance, quality assurance and high standards of performance.
  • Oversee service data and systems management, supporting the business in the introduction of new processes and software and embedding into team workstreams.
  • Implement service improvement plans to deliver innovation, working with contractors, insurers and other stakeholders to ensure Phoenix capitalises on new or enhanced processes to improve our service delivery.
  • Lead and manage team members to proactively embed the culture, deliver the vision and objectives of the organisation in line with the People Strategy.
  • Lead initiatives to promote resident engagement and customer satisfaction through contract management, events, open and transparent communication and timely management of complaints and customer enquiries.
  • Implement, utilise and promote existing and new technologies in all areas of work to ensure data integrity for effective programme planning and informed decision making.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures and process maps that are fit for purpose and reflective of our stock.
  • Develop robust systems and processes, governance, resources, and right level of expertise to be able to ensure that risks effectively managed and resident safety is at the forefront of all decisions.
  • Develop and maintain suitable and sufficient processes to manage any physical changes in a building due to works and identify the reasoning for recording changes and its impact on the golden thread, safety case and resident and building safety.
  • Regularly and confidently challenge external providers and internal staff and teams to demonstrate cost effectiveness, quality of service, value for money and customer focus in their daily work.
  • Lead in managing assigned budgets, maintaining tight financial control over the contracts.
  • Ensure personal and team performance achieves compliance to agreed targets and tolerance levels.
  • Promote proactive and reactive monitoring and auditing of all risk areas delivered by the service.
  • At all times behave professionally and in accordance with our Code of Conduct.
  • Be always familiar with and act in compliance with our values, policies, procedures, standing orders and financial regulations.
  • Carry out other duties within the scope and spirit of the job, and in accordance with the level of the post, as required.
