Overview
We are looking for an organised, engaging and proactive individual who enjoys building relationships and creating new opportunities. This role will play a key part in expanding community healthcare services by developing partnerships with GP practices and other healthcare stakeholders. You'll be responsible for identifying opportunities, building strong networks, supporting existing accounts, and helping drive growth across your region. While healthcare experience can be beneficial, we are primarily looking for someone with the personality, motivation and organisational skills to succeed in a relationship-focused business development role. Full training will be provided. This is a remote-based position combining home working with regular travel for site visits, stakeholder meetings and presentations.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with GP practices and healthcare stakeholders.
- Generate new business opportunities through proactive outreach, including telephone calls, networking and email engagement.
- Visit GP practices and healthcare settings to introduce services, deliver marketing materials and build awareness.
- Identify and assess suitable host sites for new and existing healthcare contracts.
- Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective partners and opportunities.
- Convert leads into active partnerships through effective relationship building.
- Deliver presentations and represent the organisation at meetings and events.
- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts.
- Ensure excellent customer service and ongoing client satisfaction.
- Work closely with internal teams to support successful service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records and effectively manage client information.
- Contribute ideas to improve processes and account management practices.
- Keep up to date with market trends and developments within the healthcare sector.

Requirements
- Previous experience in sales, business development, account management, customer-facing or target-driven roles is preferred.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confident engaging with new contacts and developing professional relationships.
- Organised with excellent time management and the ability to manage your own workload.
- Self-motivated, proactive and solutions-focused.
- Commercial awareness and an interest in business development.
- Experience within healthcare, primary care is beneficial but not essential.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential).
