Contractor System Safety Engineer in Bristol

We are on the lookout for an experienced Aerospace System Safety Engineer who is passionate about ensuring the highest safety standards in aviation.

Position Responsibilities

• Develop and review critical safety analyses, including Functional Hazard Assessments (FHAs), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, and Common Mode Analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure safety is prioritised throughout the product lifecycle.
• Manage safety compliance verification arguments and contribute to the ongoing certification process.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor\’s Degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Experience in Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience in System Safety Engineering.
• Proven expertise with aircraft safety assessment methodologies as outlined in ARP 4761.
• Familiarity with the integral process of ARP 4754.
• Hands-on experience with Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) using Reliability Workbench (RWB) and/or Computer Aided Fault Tree Analysis (CAFTA).

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal System Safety Engineering training or academic qualification.
• Experience in developing Air-System Loss Models.
