Our client, a well-established and growing organisation within the technical and engineering services sector, is looking to appoint a highly organised and customer-focused Account Manager / Account Coordinator to support their client accounts. The Role

This is a busy, admin-led account management position where you will be responsible for supporting customer accounts end-to-end, ensuring exceptional service delivery and smooth coordination across departments. You will act as a key point of contact for clients, managing queries, processing orders, and ensuring all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of customer accounts and acting as the main point of contact
  • Processing customer orders, quotations, and job requests accurately
  • Coordinating with internal departments (engineering, operations, logistics, finance)
  • Handling customer queries, updates, and service requests via phone and email
  • Managing shared inboxes and ensuring timely responses
  • Tracking orders, deliveries, and service progress, keeping customers updated
  • Raising invoices, credits, and supporting with basic credit control activities
  • Following up on quotations and outstanding work
  • Logging customer interactions and maintaining accurate CRM records
  • Handling customer complaints and queries professionally and efficiently
  • Supporting reporting, data entry, and general administrative duties

(This role is heavily administration-focused and requires strong attention to detail and organisational skills.)

About You

We are looking for someone with a strong customer service / account coordination background, ideally within a fast-paced or technical environment.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in a customer service, account management, or internal sales support role
  • Strong administrative skills with high accuracy (order processing, data entry, documentation)
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building ability
  • Experience using CRM or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Dynamics, Oracle or similar)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively
  • Confident handling customer queries, complaints, and escalations
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting technical, engineering, or service-based businesses
  • Exposure to credit control, invoicing, or order-to-cash processes
