We are hiring Data Center Technical Operations Engineers to support a live data centre environment in the Heathrow area. This is a hands-on operational role focused on maintaining critical power and cooling infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and operate electrical and mechanical systems within a live data centre
- Monitor UPS systems, switchgear, ATS, diesel generators, chillers, HVAC, and transformers
- Take daily operational readings including temperature, voltage, and current
- Troubleshoot incidents within internal SLAs
- Supervise contractors performing servicing and preventive maintenance
- Support commissioning activities, power ups, and infrastructure readiness
- Participate in shift rotation including nights and on call
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of electrical or mechanical systems
Preferred Experience
- Experience in data centre engineering
- Minimum 2 years experience in data centre operations
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or equivalent engineering discipline
