Our client in Heversham is looking for a reliable and organised General Kitchen Assistant to help prepare delicious, home-cooked meals for boarding students. This is a temp-to-perm position.
Working Hours:
- Monday/Tuesday: 3:00pm - 6:30pm
- Saturday: 10:00am - 5:30pm (with a 30-minute break)
Rate: £12.26 per hour
Location: Boarding House, Heversham
DBS Check: An enhanced disclosure and barring service check is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing meals, including managing special dietary requirements (gluten-free, vegan, allergies, etc.).
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, health, and safety in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Oversee food serving, washing up, and the setup/cleaning of dining spaces.
- Manage stock control, record keeping, and monthly stock takes.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness.
- Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers to ensure value for money.
- Carry out any additional tasks as requested by management.
