We're looking for a proactive and organised Customer Service Assistant to join our team in Basingstoke on a temporary basis.

Your Role

This is a varied and hands-on role where you'll be at the heart of customer operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Customer Data Management: Maintaining and updating customer master data to ensure accuracy for data protection and audit compliance.
  • Order Processing: Raising quotations, processing orders, and managing schedule agreements in line with service level expectations.
  • Customer Communication: Handling telephone and email enquiries while building strong, lasting relationships with customers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with Distribution, Planning, Finance, and Sales Operations to manage expectations around stock, pricing, and payments.
  • Risk Management: Identifying and escalating service risks while supporting customer meetings alongside Sales Operations.
  • Query Resolution: Investigating and resolving customer queries or complaints quickly and efficiently.
  • Logistics Coordination: Liaising with courier agents and using tracking systems (SOLU) to monitor delivery progress.
  • Mailbox & Admin Oversight: Managing shared inboxes, coding, and filing communications effectively.
  • Performance Focus: Supporting and maintaining Lines on Time in Full (LOTIF) targets.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participating in operational meetings and contributing to PPI/JDI initiatives.
  • Health & Safety Awareness: Promoting and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies at all times.
