We are currently recruiting for an experienced Patient Booking Clerk on behalf of our client based in Basildon. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and customer-focused individual with previous medical administration experience to join a busy healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Booking, rescheduling and cancelling patient appointments
  • Managing patient referrals and ensuring accurate data entry
  • Handling incoming telephone calls and email enquiries professionally
  • Maintaining accurate patient records in line with GDPR and confidentiality requirements
  • Liaising with clinical teams, patients and external healthcare providers
  • Supporting the administration team with general office duties as required

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within a medical, healthcare, GP practice, hospital setting
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and patient management systems
  • Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment
  • A current and valid DBS Certificate is essential
  • Available to start at short notice
