Salary: £15.70 per hour + shift allowance + bonus

  • Shift allowance: 7.5% (day shift) / 30% (night shift)
  • Production bonus after 3 months (team-based)

Shift Pattern

  • Day Shift: Monday-Thursday, 07:30am - 7:30pm (2 weeks)
  • Night Shift: Monday-Thursday, 7:30pm - 07:30am (2 weeks)

(48 hours per week on a rotating basis)

About the Role

As an Extrusion Team Leader, you will play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly within the extrusion department. You'll lead and motivate a team, ensure production targets are achieved, and maintain high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

You'll act as the link between management and the shop floor-supporting your team, solving problems, and driving continuous improvement across the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and support your team to achieve daily targets
  • Ensure production meets quality standards and customer requirements
  • Promote and maintain high Health & Safety and housekeeping standards
  • Coordinate daily production activities and workflows
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure materials and schedules are aligned
  • Identify improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste
  • Support training and development of team members
  • Complete reporting and system updates accurately

What We're Looking For

  • Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience working to production targets and schedules
  • Good IT skills, including Excel
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving ability
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and quality standards
  • Must have a valid right to work in Northern Ireland

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Experience in plastics extrusion
  • Lean / Yellow Belt knowledge
  • Supervisory qualification
  • Understanding of ISO9001
