Overview of the Role
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a dependable and hard-working Warehouse Operative to join their team in Ayr. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role within a busy production and warehouse environment. Working as part of a close-knit team, you will play a key role in supporting the production of animal feed, helping to ensure operations run efficiently and safely on a day-to-day basis.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manual handling of 25kg drums and buckets containing raw materials
- Supporting the movement of goods across the warehouse, yard, and production areas
- Assisting with general warehouse and production duties as required
- Ensuring workspaces, including the yard and production floor, are kept clean, tidy, and safe
- Working to production schedules and supporting the smooth flow of materials
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures, particularly in relation to manual handling and industrial environments
- Working efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- Good level of physical fitness and confidence with manual handling
- Strong work ethic and willingness to get involved in all aspects of the role
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse or production setting
- Good timekeeping and reliability
- Previous experience in a warehouse or production role is advantageous, but not essential, as training will be provided
