A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Area Sales Executive to join one of our industry-leading clients in the hire sector, covering the Falkirk area. This exciting role offers a competitive salary and a bonus scheme of up to 40% of your basic salary! If you have previous sales experience within construction or hire equipment and are looking for a new challenge, then this role could be perfect for you.
As an Area Sales Executive, you will be responsible for maximising revenue by cross-selling our client\’s various divisions to existing customers. You will also have the opportunity to identify and pursue new business opportunities, introducing new customers to our client\’s services. Managing a portfolio of customers will be a key aspect of your role, ensuring revenue growth and the smooth running of their accounts. Building strong relationships with key customers at site and regional office level will also be crucial, as well as pre-qualifying potential customer\’s ability to pay.
Responsibilities:
Identify and maximise revenue through cross-selling to existing customers
Identify new business opportunities and introduce new customers to our client
Manage a portfolio of customers to ensure revenue growth and account satisfaction
Support major accounts through regular visibility and relationship building
Pre-qualify potential customer\’s ability to pay in consultation with credit control
Prepare and submit proposals and quotations based on customer\’s ability to pay
Regularly review customers\’ spend and adjust rates accordingly
Establish a broad contact base with all customers to incorporate key contacts
Submit accurate and detailed reports to the Regional Sales Manager
Maintain regular appointments and calls with customers, prioritising effectively
Take necessary action to stimulate activity with non-spending customers or down traders
Convey customer site leads and market knowledge to relevant client personnel
Attend and report at regional sales meetings
Liaise daily with operational teams in all client divisions
