Logistics Coordinator in Andover

We are looking for an organised and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join an established manufacturing business. This is a varied, hands-on role responsible for coordinating the movement of finished machines, parts and materials, ensuring deliveries and collections are arranged efficiently and on time. Working closely with Production, Purchasing, Sales and Operations, you will play an important role in keeping the logistics operation running smoothly and ensuring customers receive their products when required. The Role Your responsibilities will include: Coordinating UK and international deliveries and collections. Booking transport and liaising with hauliers, freight companies and company drivers. Communicating with customers and transport providers to arrange delivery dates and times. Obtaining transport quotations and selecting suitable services. Preparing and checking shipping and delivery documentation. Tracking shipments and providing updates where required. Resolving delivery issues, including delays, shortages and damaged goods. Working closely with Production to coordinate logistics requirements. Ensuring finished machines, parts and materials are ready for collection. Supporting the safe loading and positioning of finished machines. Operating a counterbalance forklift truck to load and unload vehicles and move goods safely around the site. Supporting import and export shipments where required. Coordinating urgent and time-critical deliveries. Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, collections and transport costs. Monitoring transport costs and looking for opportunities to improve efficiency. Maintaining accurate system information. Ensuring company logistics and health & safety procedures are followed.About You Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail. Good communication skills and confidence dealing with customers, suppliers and transport providers. The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines. A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of issues. A practical approach to problem solving. Good commercial awareness, particularly around transport costs. The ability to work effectively as part of a team. Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
