We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Hygiene & GMP Cleaning Operative to support the cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of our clients' food production facility. This is a vital role ensuring they meet the highest hygiene and compliance standards across the entire site.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain hygiene and GMP standards across all food production and storage areas.
  • Follow cleaning schedules and complete all assigned tasks within allocated time slots.
  • Use only approved cleaning equipment and methods.
  • Sweep, vacuum, and wash floors to remove dust, debris, spillages, and waste.
  • Remove cobwebs from ceilings, walls, beams, pipework, window areas, and high-level structures.
  • Clean barriers, railings, guarding, steps, window seals, ledges, and surrounding surfaces.
  • Wipe down walls, machine bases, and general surfaces to remove dust, marks, and grime.
  • Maintain safe, dry, slip-free floor conditions at all times.
  • Ensure equipment is packed, stored, and used correctly; report accidental breakages immediately.
  • Remove old/damaged floor labels and ensure adhesive residue is cleaned.
  • Record task completion with initials and ensure SMT verification is documented.
  • Report any issues or deviations promptly and complete relevant comments or logs.
  • Adhere strictly to all cleaning procedures, GMP requirements, and site safety rules.

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in high cleaning standards.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience in industrial or food-production cleaning (preferred but not essential).
  • Willingness to complete required training, including equipment operation.
